Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)

THECB is the state agency that provides leadership and coordination for the Texas post-secondary education system. Since the Texas Legislature created it in 1965, the Board has worked to achieve excellence for the college education of Texas students.

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)

The TWC is Texas' primary source for statistics on higher education. A state agency, TWC provides Texas Unemployment Insurance (UI) data, which is used by seekUT to research post-graduate outcomes for UT students. Data on industry of employment is part of TWC’s employment record data.

The United States Census Bureau (available in 2018)

Starting in 2018, UT System, in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau, will provide valuable information about post-collegiate outcomes for UT graduates across the country — not just in Texas. Data will include earnings, region and industry of employment, migration patterns, and career pathways for UT graduates from 2003 to the present.

National Student Clearinghouse StudentTracker®

StudentTracker provides seekUT with nationwide college enrollment and degree data. More than 3,600 colleges and universities — enrolling more than 98% of all students in public and private U.S. institutions — regularly provide enrollment and graduation data to the National Student Clearinghouse.

The United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)

The BLS’s Employment Projections (EP) Program develops information about the labor market for the Nation as a whole for 10 years in the future. seekUT bases national and state median earnings by occupation on the BLS Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) program, which produces employment and wage estimates annually for more than 800 occupations.

Wage Record Interchange System 2 (WRIS2)

Part of the United States Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration, the WRIS 2 facilitates the exchange of wage data among participating states for the purpose of sharing state wage data in aggregate form. Texas is one of more than 40 states who have signed the WRIS2 Data Sharing Agreement.

UT System Student Advisory Council (SAC)

seekUT works with the UT System Student Advisory Council, as well as students across all UT institutions, to get feedback on both the data and the presentation of data. These comments help to drive improvements and determine new content and features in seekUT and on the website.
